Southern Pacific 'Overland Limited' in the Donner Pass
High quality art print suitable for framing of iconic SP 'F units' in the 'Black Widow' paint scheme pulling the 'Overland Limited' passenger train. This crack passenger train was operated by three different railroads from Chicago to Los Angeles. The Chicago and Northewestern operated on the first leg of the trip from Chicago to Omaha, NE, then handed the train over to the Union Pacific to Ogden, Utah. SP then took the train on its final destination to Los Angeles. This is evident in the train consist with the combination of yellow UP coaches and silver SP coaches.
This painting depicts the train traveling through the Donner Pass over the high Sierras in the 1950's.
