Canadian Pacific Railway Cocktail Shaker
(extremely rare – circa 1940's – bought directly from CPR in the mid 70's)
CPR exited the passenger train business in the early 1970's. They sold all of their silverware used in their dining cars through their own retail shop "CP Bygones".
This individual Cocktail shaker was never listed for sale in any of their Bygones catalogues. A few shaker sets were available in their first Bygones catalogue. It was a 'one only' found when I was allowed to purchase directly from their inventory while in Montreal as they were closing their store in 1977. This shaker has three pieces in 'like new' condition with strong CPR script. Photo #2 shows CPR script on side of barrel. Photo #3 shows inside of the components. Photo #4 shows exterior of the two top pieces.
