In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the CPR's completion of the Transcontinental Railway on Nov. 23rd, 1885, at Craigellachie, B.C. a recreation of the Driving of the Last Spike was held on November 7th, 1985.

A commemorative postcard was commissioned and stamped with the special issue Canada Post 34 cent stamp featuring a CP Class 2Pa 2-8-2 locomotive and cancelled both front and back at Craigellachie on the 100th anniversary date.  This card, stamp and cancellation was  only available on the one day back in November, 1985.
