In the summer of 1986, Vancouver BC hosted the World's Fair 'Expo '86'. And for ten days (May 23rd to June 1st), one of the most popular events was 'Steam Expo', held in the CN marshaling yards just off the Expo site. The largest gathering of operating steam locomotives in over 50 years featured 17 operating locomotives. This calendar was produced in advance of the event and one interesting aspect is that three locomotives featured in this calendar which were originally scheduled to attend, couldn't for various reasons. However photos of the the other 9 locomotives featured in this calendar range from 'The Inyo' to the Hillcrest Logging Shay to the Royal Hudson. A rare collector's item from 34 years ago.
