Canadian Pacific Railway Station Table Lamp
(very rare – circa 1910's – bought directly from CPR in the mid 70's)
CPR exited the passenger train business in the early 1970's. They sold all of their passenger related items through their own shop "CP Bygones". This kerosene polished brass office desk or table lamp was purchased directly from CP Bygones and stored for 30+ years. This item was new when bought from CPR and has never been lit. The brass base is 11" to top of burner and 19" to the top of the clear glass chimney. "CPR" is stamped on top of bowl on one side and "H.L. Piper-Montreal" on the opposite side. The burner assembly base comes complete with the wick. The wick assembly inside the glass chimney has a few light discoloration marks that should be greatly improved with an appropriate cleaner (see close up photo 4). There is one very small dent just under the lip of the bowl (see photo 5 - in between the chimney clamps) - very hard to see when the lamp is in its normal upright position.
