This locomotive was built by Canadian Pacific Railway Company, Angus Shops, Montreal, Quebec, November 1906. It was given a builder's plate number CP 1479. CP 2505 was originally built as number CP 1155. It entered CPR service as a brand new locomotive in November 1906. CP 1155 was changed December 1910 and was renumbered CP 1105. CP 1105 was changed in March 1913 when its driver diameter was increased from 69 to 70 inches. At that time CP 1105 was renumbered to its last number - CP 2505. The engine was altered again in December 1929 when its cylinder dimensions were changed from 21x28 to 22.5x28 inches. This alteration reclassified the locomotive from a G2b to G2q. CP 2505 was scrapped in October 1959 after 55 years and 11 months of service. Locomotive 2505 was of class G2b.
Dimensions: Complete yoke and cradle assembly is 24" tall and the cradle is 21" wide at its apex. Bells are 13" high and 16" in diameter at the base.
Please note that these bells have been lightly polished but most may have some nicks etc due to decades of use especially around the bottom rims of the bells.
