This locomotive was built by ALCO - The Locomotive & Machine Company of Montreal, later Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW), Montreal, Quebec, November 1912. Its builder's plate number was 51650. It entered CPR service as a brand new locomotive on that date (November 1912). CP3938 was changed April 1929: Cylinder dimensions were changed from 23.5x32 to 23x32 inches. The locomotive was reclassified from N3b to N2b. CP3938 was renumbered to CP3738. It was scrapped December 1957 after 45 years and 1 months of service. Locomotive CP3938 was of class N3b.


Dimensions: Complete yoke and cradle assembly is 24" tall and the cradle is 21" wide at its apex. Bells are 13" high and 16" in diameter at the base.

Please note that these bells have been lightly polished but most may have some nicks etc. due to decades of use especially around the bottom rims of the bells.
