A 100th Anniversary Celebration of the CPR's completion of the Transcontinental Railway on Nov. 23rd, 1885, at Craigellachie, B.C. was held at the same location in Nov. 1985
A commemorative Golden Spike and Commerative Coin were sold on location at Craigellachie on Nov. 23rd 1985 during the re-enactment of the Driving of the Last Spike. The ceremony commenced upon arrival of a special train of dignitaries who boarded the train in Revelstoke, B.C. The special was pulled by CPR steam locomotive #1201.
Spike is 6.5" long and comes with a leather lace. The coin (see photo #2) shows both sides of the coin. Note: one coin shipped with each spike
